When you go to log into Battle.Net you have a few choices of "Servers" to connect to. We play on US East. When you connect to the chat rooms, in order to add people to the friends list, you must type....

/f add name

Now, my name is obviously CyberPitz. When you put the name in, it should tell you "So and so was added to your friends list. If you want to see where everybody is at or what they are doing, you can type

/f L

If you would like to talk to somebody, there are a couple ways of going about it...

/msg name HI HOW ARE YOU???
-or-
/f msg HI HOW ARE YOU??? - that one messages everybody on your friends list.

Taviow is not in the US either. When you load up into Battle.net, you can chose whatever server you want to play on. You may be in the Europe, and may not have the fastest connection to the US servers, but you shouldn't lag due to the fact that Starcraft is not very bandwidth intensive.

Do the campaign, will help you online.

But if your doing good on the campaign, you WILL probably suck in the MP. SP = turtle MP = Harass.

Like pitz said the SP play style is NOTHING like online, but try some custom games against the comp and see how you do. The campaign is so worth playing though.
