We were electing a new student body for this new semester, and my friends and I decided to have some fun, and show people that YOUR VOTE IS WORTHLESS. OBEY OBEY OBEY MWHAHAHAHA
Ahem.
Anyway, so, we decided to start off with propaganda and rumour spreading, which wasn't so hard except for the fact that unlike adults, students care less about morality and more about pragmatic issues, like better food.
So we scrapped that and moved on to phase two.
We managed to get a few guys inside the election commitee to share our views ("Come on, it'll be fun!") and got a copy of the voting paper.
We mass-produced them with the copier and calculated our plans carefully. Hidden in our pockets, the fake ballots will be added while we pretend to vote, in groups of 4. However, we couldn't get carried away with this, because it'd look a lot suspicious if the number of total votes exceeded that of the students.
And then we were able to get an inside man (well, a girl) inside the counting process and text us the results every 5 minutes. We were able to instruct her to sabotage the process (spill a cup of coffee/turn off air conditioning) in order to switch some of the boxes.
The results:
20 votes for George W. Bush - not counted
55 votes for #4
102 for #7
231 for #8
242 for #6
370 for #5
377 for #1
783 for #2 => guy we were pushing
796 for #3
So, no harm done.
Seeing as how we supplied about half of #2's votes, I feel that we should have picked a better puppet.
The funny thing is, usually the lead gets more than a thousand votes. I suppose that the lack of preperation time for campaigns (semester started about a week ago) had people disoriented.
Also, I feel that they should have chosen a better election committee.
And I'm kinda relieved that #2 didn't win, because, ya know, I have a conscience.
