When I got this PC I got a GEiL 1GB kit (2x512MB) of DDR2 667MHZ and I need more ram and I have money, so I think I might just get another set of the same since I have another 2 slots empty ..

.. but, I'll lose the dual channel bonus and apparently having many sticks (Like, 4 of them but they'll all be exactly the same) of ram is 'bad' ?

Dual Channel should still work. If the new ram is different than the old in any way then just make sure they're paired up right. If they're the exact same it should be fine either way.

The only bad things I could see would be some extra heat from 4 sticks instead of 2, and the other thing is the command rate that they run at. It's probably at 1T right now which is "good", and will likely set itself to 2T after you pop the two new sticks in, which is "not as good."
I think the difference is barely noticeable though.

In conclusion, just do eet.

Alright, thanks.

All of the ram has those 'heat spreader' things but I'm not too sure if they help much.

Anyway, turns out they're out of stock, sigh, so I have to wait till 'early next week' but because of work, etc I doubt I'll be able to get it till like thursday.
