"The British military is killing more servicemen and women off the battlefield than are being lost in enemy action."

:O

*waits for stern to come in and say something*

Bizzare. How do you mix up ammunition like that?

CONSPIRACY!!!

Is this supposed to be in Gen Off-Topic Chat? I'll move it the moment discussion starts, I'm afraid.

Also: yes, we're all pretty shit over there.

My borther in law just retired forom the army with back problems, giving him a personal injury pension. On top of his normal army one. All costing the tax peyer :O
I can't believe that ammo thing either, it shouldn't happen. Maybe someone wanted it to ..

Its so hard to introduce health and safety laws to an army though D:

Yeah... that's our government. English people are totally fine. It's the government (and MoD/NHS/any other government related group) that has the problem :P. I mean, come on, how the hell did Gordon Brown get into power??

Why the hell didn't the recruit who fired the live rounds check his magazine before he took it onto the field? Yeah, a mix up when taking the ammo from it's storage is pretty bad, but for christs sake these guys are meant to be training as Royal Marines, and failing to maintain your own weapon, regardless of a sign that says 'this ammo is this, that ammo is that' above the storage of the ammo, is pretty worrying.

I'm not saying it's not the Armys fault for the mix up, but the guy that fired the rounds should of checked his weapon first, just to be sure.

Makes me think of the fighters in the US with the nukes on board or something. Apparently they'd forgotten to take them off when they were flying a fighter south to be decomissioned or something bizzare like that.
