Yep, wife brought it home last night... I've been playing for the last 2 hours or so in the complete dark, with the exception of my monitor of course. I never really thought a game could actually scary... but there have been several parts that have really made my hair stand on end... literally. I've actually jumped a few times as well, haha...

Anyways... not sure this deserved a new thread... but oh well. Anyone else get scurred?

For the first hours, i was on edge. but after a while you know exactly what happens in the next room so it wears off

For the record, it's spelled scared. And personally, no I really didn't find it that scary. About 3-4 more hours into the game you should realize something: it becomes predictable.

But if you're having fun, good for you then. Hope you enjoy the game. :)

For the record, in the durrrty south, it's SCURRED. Don't hate. And it is a bit predictable... It's not SCURRY so much like making you jump... although it has a few times... its more the ambient sounds and stuff that gives you goosebumps!

After you get into the story and stuff, it becomes more of a job than a game. I got pissed at the end because I thought the damn game would never end.

I thought it ended way too soon.

Thats the one problem with iD, sadly. Their level design variation and gameplay has never been brilliant. They seem to be more architecturaly minded. But I can't complain, they still prodcuce memerable experiences.

Unfortunatly I've been too inpatient to wait for my new rig and am playing it on this one.. its hard to get into the game and thus get scared by it when your playing at 15-20 fps :>
