So today was one of the weirdest days at school ever.

First of all, morning. There are THREE fights before the first period bell even rings, and they were so brutal that they actually called for more cops to come in for the day (we usually have two there, there were four or five patrolling today)

Ok, first three periods of the day are pretty normal. Cut to lunch. At the table next to where I sit with my friends, three cops and a teacher run over and just tacke some black kid randomly, punch and kick him, cuff him, and walk him out. I thought nothing of it until FOURTH period when the fire alarm rang, and we were outside for almost an hour. I get back in and we get a note saying this kid had a firearm in possession. It wasn't loaded, but still, yeesh.

NOW CUT TO AFTERSCHOOL. I'm waiting for a ride home, and bam, hell officiailly freezes over. A girl asks me out to homecoming.

I said "probably, let me get back to you." I want to do it, she's attractive, and we have a pretty fair amount in common, but the only problem is, she's incredibly sexual, and I'm not sure if she'd go to fast for me. Thoughts?

And that was my day.

Maybe, ours usually has some riding around on bikes all day. And yeah, it's a public school, but it's one of the higher-rated ones in Raleigh. I actually like it ok.

Yeah I think its pretty much standard practice to have a police officer in schools here (our school only has one though) and has been since pre-columbine days even. I'm not really sure why some schools would need them, but some schools definitly do. Gang violence is probably what you would call epidemic in some areas, with students threatening bus drivers with knives and such.
 
I don't think my old school has any police patroling. At least there wasn't when I was there. They have a security desk near the office though. And I'm sure a police in the area to come over asap if needed. I don't recall any scanners at the door.

Most fights we ever had in one day is seven- three weeks ago. But that is excessive and not the norm, so it's not like "LOL WELL MINE HAS MORE"

On average there's two a week here that are worth mentioning like someone knocked out or a drawn out fight.

i wish our school had a lot of fights...apparently some kid got stomped today at lunch and was in a coma?!

But about the girl...go for it...i bet you it's not going to be nearly as awkward as you might think it'll be.

Trust me..in times like this you just go with the flow..and everything works out.
 
My school has atleast 10 fights per day, although they are organized fights with betting and whatnot at the pizza shop down the street, but still, they are fights with real punching and knockouts (no gloves either, it gets bloody).. Reminds me of fight club, except it's real, and damn entertaining. If I ever get a strong enough body I'd do it, but I'm weak as hell :(
