my Friend goes to a private christian school, and she's in art, they told her to draw anything she wants, so she drew a picture of these spanish kkk members that have a cross on their robes, to show how people hide behind religion to hate.

Here It is

"No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!"

no special offense is intended, but i'm really tired of children trying to decide that they know how to school themselves better than anyone else.. didn't we already have a "me" generation? here's a good lesson: do your work. believe me, in later life, it'll come in handy much more than uninformed pseudo-political posturing. again, this isn't directed at any poster in particular, just this general attitude of entitled exemption.

remember, doing the work is part of the point. if you don't get that, then you are probably still in school.

I agree wholeheartedly. Pop-politics = bad idea.

I had to write a 6 page paper fo criminal justice, I found out I was the only one in the class to not double space.....oh well. I don't see how we learn about the judicial system by writing a paper about violent video games.

i'm probably going to write a paper on Video Games/ Media effect on males in American society and violence etc.

In fact, if they did nothing but have you do mental excercises (work for the sake of work) all through high-school you would probably end up pretty well off.

Mental excercises will increase the number of neurons firing in your brain. More neurons firing will create more connections between the nerves (dendrites) which in turn increases your brain density. From studies with rats raised in stimulating and non-stimulating environments, we know that brain density is positivly correlated with intelligence.

So, next time someone asks what the purpose of an assignment is, just tell them its to fire neurons. Its pretty much the only justiification an assignment needs.

Slightly off topic: One thing I would like psychologists to investigate is whether videogames provide the same mental stimulation as mental tasks such as cross works or puzzles. The reason is that having paitents engage in mental tasks is one of the treatments for degeneative brain disorders, including dementia and alzimers. With an aging population, we might need to find more effective ways of treating such conditions and it would be really neat to find out my favorite hobby will help ward them off.
