So whats going on with the release?

I've been out of the hl2 loop (doom3 has consumed me) and was wondering what the latest on the release is. I know nothing's official but last I heard we were looking at a august/september release.

CS:S beta has been delayed. It looks like Valve still hasn't sent a RC to Vivendi. And the release date is still up in the air, but it is looking more like a Fall release date (more towards October than anything).

And New York city was destroyed by a mutant three-toed sloth.

I'd like to think August, but I've come to a point where I really can't trust any specific time from Valve, so I am leaning towards Mid/late Fall..

hhhhhmmmmmm, well thanks for the info except for the NYC and the mutant incident, which is like such old news.

September is the anticipated release right now.. but you can expect any time in the fall.
