You're on your final warning wonkers. We've had enough of this abusive behaviour from you. Keep it up and you'll be spending some time away from the forums.

VUG is taking their sweet time with it because they were lied to by Valve. If they arn't holding a grudge then they will hold it back to make more money in christmas.

If you don't know how bussiness works I don't care. Nor do I feel sorry for you. Read the news.

This game will be a big dissapointment. I can truly see it coming.
I admit i don't know much about the gaming industry, but VUG holding back the release of a game just because of a grudge doesn't sound very proffesional. And if this is the case, they can kiss my a** *runs off crying* ;( ;(

The reason they are holding back the release is becuase they want Steam disabled as a distribution channel for HL2 and are awaiting a judge's decision on October 8th. Vivendi believe that Valve misled them into thinking that broadband internet access will not take off and thus make Steam a viable distribution method for a game as large as HL2. This contract was made way back in 2002.

I don't like Vivendi's delaying of the game either but with all the information regarding the litigation and Vivendi's reasons for its countersuit against Valve, I don't think we'll be seeing the game go gold before Oct. 8th. I truly believe that HL2 doesn't have the bugs that would normally cause an RC to be rejected, but that Vivendi is finding ways to reject the RC's and/or delay until Oct. 8th.

EDIT: This is my speculation based on the litigation information.

Why don't you hop onto the negativy train along with elephant? There's plenty of room.

Yeah, my post about the first RC being rejected (most likely scenario) is just so negative

I wasn't refering to that specific post. More on just your overall negativity. Like whenever Valve does something nice, you always say something against and stuff like that.

you do know lawsuits are commonplace in big buisiness right? its why buisinesses have legal staffs...

this isnt the "bitch owes me 1000 for personal pain" personal lawsuits that people do "im gonna sue you!"..... buisiness law is much more routine... Vivendi is upset because valve said in 2000 that they didnt plan to market online, and have since changed their mind.... its standard really...

if you didnt read my post, the point is..

Lawsuits in business law are much more civil then personal law, but you are in the jerry springer lawsuit mentality, and you shouldnt worry about it... (VU will probibly just get a cut of steam sales)

Name one time

I only give Valve shit when they screw over their comunity. Valve hasn't done "something nice" since they released TFC.
