ive had my preorder, i will be at EB in line before midnight tomorrow... should be an interesting night at least. this EB is the local launch-center or whatever so there are some MS fellas there. is anyone else getting one tomorrow?

If by tomorrow, you mean sometime in the next few months, then yeah!

I've never owned a console in my life, and I'm not about to start now

Not me! I probably won't see the 360 in Australia for years to come! But I would get a PS3 first, and if I have money and room then a 360.

In a few months I shall consider it, but only if the 360 offers me things that I can't get on a PC.

I got to play the Xbox 360 at an event in Vancouver. It was pretty good. I just went to my local EB and I got to see Call of Duty 2 in action. I hate it when 5-year-old kids keep hogging the game and don't know how to play it. But Call of Duty 2 was really smooth and looked great all the time. Even if you throw several smoke grenades, the framerate is smooth.

Every store near me has stopped taking pre orders months ago. I didn't look that far into the future so my only option is to wait outside best buy and try to get one as they are first come first serve. Thank god I live in Minnesota or else I would get stuck waiting outside in nice weather vs below zero temp with a foot of snow and icy cold winds.

haha hooray for sarcasm :bounce:

I will be, I have 3 games

problem is I didn't pre-order so me and and 3 other guys are going to wait outside our local bestbuy from midnight until opening and snatch up our consoles.

Probably never...if it was cheap I'd consider it but nothing "wow's" me yet.

Hmm, i wonder what smashmyxbox is up to?

... $400/$700 console with $60 games...
Buy 3 games... Get the console... $580/$880...

Noooooooo thanks.
I'll stick to my PC... and newly acquired PSP with Liberty City Stories(<3 it.).

If I had the extra money I would definately buy it, however since I don't I should benefit from lower prices and more games to chose from down the line.

So far I would buy perfect dark and PGR3 possibly CoD2.

By the time i get any money maybe i can pick these up used for $35 or something. :)

I'm waiting for the first working mod-chip...

<glances around>

Heh....

Heh....

Heh-heh.

Yeah. Umm, nah, cant afford the xbox360 right now.

From some of the rumours I've been hearing, it won't be available until June for those who haven't pre-ordered. (At least in the UK).

However I'm not exactly sure what to believe right now, and still wonder whether it's still worth pre-ordering at this late stage.

No, I will not be picking up an 360 at launch date, cancelled my pre-order yesterday, there really is no game yet that's interesting for me, aside from PD0, but I'll wait til there're a few more games out for it for me to buy, preferably GoW and ESIV

Not me. I'll be waiting to see what the PS3 and Revolution "next gen" looks like because what the 360 has shown so far isn't it. Once great games come out for all the systems that really showcase what a next-gen console can do, I'll be making some difficult financial decisions I am sure.

Not a chance in the world. If I didn't have a job, maybe I would have camped out to try to get one. Then I would have turned around and sold it for as much money as I possibly could. If there are people out there thinking it's worth $400, I'm sure I could find some imbecile to pay $800 for it just so they could have it first.

I'll consider it in year or so ...maybe get ps3 instead, in the meantime my newly purchased 7800gt should keep from getting xbox360 envy

saw a "deal" on ebay the other day for more than $4000 ...I actually debated buying 2 just to sell ..but dont want to go through the hassle

anyone willing to pay $4000 needs their head examined

I said that I would wait until I saw and played before I decided. Usually, when I do this, I end up buying said product.....not happening this time. Thus far the console seems uninspiring to say the least. I'm hoping that it's just some launch jitters and it's going to take developers a little time to get used to it and put out some better products.....games that will really push it. I expected this thing to pull some nice reviews and over at gamerankings....man, I'm just unimpressed.

I mean, I freaked when I played the XBox and the GameCube for the first time.....I got no reaction like that on the XBox360. Maybe it's because most PC gamers have been playing on this kind of production quality for the last two years....I don't know. All I know is that, to date, I'm dissappointed.

I wish!. Not getting mine till December the 2nd, and still have to wait a further 20 days till my birthday to get it :(

Let me see...

1) To pay now 400$ plus games, wich by theway I don't see the real killer game capable of make me purchase this console now, Oblivion was the only one that seemed interesting, but well that's another story.

2) To wait for a really good game, and by the time "whatever that game is out" I buy the XBOX 360, maybe the price its a lower by then...

Hard to choose...

Yea, as much as I want to have Perfect dark, the real game I wanted was Oblivion.

There was never any question in my mind whether I would buy this system or not, the only question is when.

I don't think I've ever been more excited about a gaming system. Not even the SuperNES. The games generally got good reviews, but something has killed my excitement for this game system recently. Maybe becuase I came to the realization that I can't afford one anyway. Sad part is; the price of the system is not likely to go down before I buy one anway. So I lose becuase I don't get the system yet, and I still will end up paying full price. Ah well :)

I hear you man, it is probable that the game that will make me buy an XBOX 360 will come out before the price of the console goes down, but like it I said before, no such a game is here now, I learned my mistake with the PSP, I was an early adopter and there wasn't any great or killer game for the PSP (I still think there isn't any), so is not happen to me again, so I rather wait this time around. Ironically, my old PS2 is giving me a great season of games way better dare I say than the XBOX 360 launch titles, Shadow of the Colussus, RE4, Dragon Quest VIII, and the great OKAMI is comming out in January I think, it's a shame a lot people will miss those games only because they think NextGen Console=Better Games.

I'll be getting one the day it's released in the UK, hopefully - there's no guarantee all the pre-orders will be met. I love console launches, and love Perfect Dark :) (being able to download classic arcade games, including Smash TV!, and play them in co-op, was the clincher)

The launch titles have turned out to be a little more dissapointing than expected. Kameo is more a 'Star Fox Adventures' than a 'Banjo' or 'Conkers' and Condemned looks be be very short lived, but I have faith in Rare's PDZ and am looking forward to PGR3. Like Virus, I also planned on getting a 360 at some point, and decided that the excitement of having a new toy over Christmas outweighs any reasons to wait.

I have a PC which produce far better or equal graphics than XBOX360...

LOLzzzzzzzzzz :)

Seeing as how the xbox360 has more power than current gaming PCs I would think the xbox360 would be able to handle more and therefore handle better graphics.

oh please, don't start beating that horse, we have many threads dedicated to it, just go back and dig them up, this thread is for who is getting one.

it's the 22, it's impossible for me to get an x360 and i'm going to go to eb and cry and demand they give me the secret one they have hidden !

He started it! :) (and is obviously trolling, being intentinally obtuse and, to finish things off, still completely wrong ;))
