So why do we still know nothing about the Collector's Edition?

I really want to know what's gonna be in it, and more importantly, how much it will cost. I've got $5 sitting on a copy of HL2 at my local EB. I need to move it to the collector's Edition, but they won't let me, because they don't even know about the CE.

I hope we find out next week about all the Collector's edition. If it comes in DVD format, I will be buying it instead or purchasing over Steam.

I highly doubt it'd set them back 'months'. It's not like they stop making the game just because they lost the musician.
