So yeah...what about VAC?

In all the excitement about CS:S, I completely forgot about VAC till just now. Can someone explain why it's not enabled? It makes me give some real thought to people's claims that we have basically been given a beta. Now that in itself isn't a very big problem I guess, after all the money is for HL2, but this is still kind of lame. Cheaters will have no opposition until Valve adds this.

Anyone have any idea why it's not enabled yet, and if there are plans in the immediate future to do so?

Well all we've really got to go on is that valve said they'd be enabling VAC2 at some point in the future. I was gonna email valve and see what the deal is, whatever their plan is I can only hope they activate VAC2 before HL2 gets here
