yo.. was just wondering what software all you people use and was wondering what you think is the best to use... im using max5 at the mo

well 3dsmax is actually realkly crap compared to houdini and has prity outdated work flow. But is the most popular because its a lot easier to understand in your first inital steps.

Also is 3dsmax 6 out? or are u talking about 5.2 ?

Yes thats right, i've just been to my prom and i am pissed as a fart

It was so good, we got this goody bag stuff and there was a shot glass, some condoms, some sweets and some bubbles

And i accidently called my ex-head of sixth for a nobhead!!! well by calling i actually mean i made the hand gesture, but i think he was looking through the slit in the door when i did it! And this girl i like, her name is beth, she was with her boyfriend alllllllll night i didnt feel sad once!! on the way home i saw this girl that i absolutley love to bits, so i gave her a few kisses and her mate who i hadnt seen in about a year, which was nice, it was a pretty damn good night! any hoo time to see if nash bridges is on ITV 1, i friggin love that program! whats that word they alwayas say? bubba! thats it - "hey what up bubba?" nothing bubba i just got extremely pissed at my prom, it was 12234554525237 i mean leet bubba!

Max 5.1 is for DX9

Max 6 was only announced at siggraph(sp)

When it comes to game models, eyesore is very much so correct. All you need to do is slap together some polygons, it's all the same. When you get into animation, shorts, films, special effects, etc. they're very different.

for game modeling they are basically the same but for effects and dynamics and fluids maya is where its at. Thats the only one i use is Maya 5.0 unlimitied i love being a student i got it for free

When it comes to modeling for games, what software you use doesnt matter. A noob couldnt create as good a model in maya or softimage that a skilled person could create in milkshape or blender. A program excells through skillfull handeling.

All you have to do is find a program that you feel comfortable in.

How it has everything actually more then what you would ever need. The fluid effects and fur are the best out there.

Its just what you like the most. I use max 4.2 atm and I like it. I will try some other packages once I get the oppertunity. but I still stuck to win 98 se here. so i wont have a chance in trying out XSI or Maya.
