Well after about a year of playing World of Warcraft, I began to become bored with it. After the expansion I quickly leveled to 70, then my guild fell apart because of the new 25 man raid system. I just stopped playing the game all together. Today I ended up selling my account for $340. I was surprised I could actually get that much out of it. I'm happy, but at the same time sad to see my character go. I'm sure i'll get over it and move on to newer and better games.

never played a second of it, never really "got" it..

Nice

I almost sold mine for $700 twice pre-BC but people kept backing out.

Then I ended up buying BC and eventually quit once I hit 70, and now my account remains dormant. It's not really worth anything because I pretty much have level 60 (Grand Marshal) gear on a level 70.

Well done.

I made you this avamatar to celebrate:

It could be smoother around the edges, but it's still better than a white background :D

Thank you for the better avatar, Naudian. Looks alot better :D

How much did you spend over the years on WoW? :O

Grats man. Ever since I quit, my life went uphill haha. True story.

Same here.

Grats on quitting your life will improve radically.
The absence of a comma there gives this statement kind of funny.
"Grats on quitting your life" (life in WoW)

Now the healing can begin.
lol qft

I always planned to sell my account but never got around to it. I haven't played it in over a year. I wonder how much I could get for 3 level 60's, 32,000 G, a bunch of level 30's,and like 20 epic items?

I would like to cash in, I need to stop being lazy.

Also, I don't want to re-activate my account just to take screenshots of my stuff. I don't know if I can sell it without some sort of proof.

See, my subscription expired as I was putting all the money on one character so I could screenshot it. So like 10,000 G got lost in the mail and almost definitely deleted, but I still have like 22,000. (which is a ****ing ass-load if you don't know. (I was a auction house sniper) buy low, enchant with something nice so I can skill up, then sell high. Many people hated me, for often times, I had over 100 items on auction at relatively high prices.

Tip:
The problem with Blizzards auction system was that it didn't cost enough to auction an item. So I wasn't really penalized for asking allot. If it didn't sell, I just try again, lowering the price very little each time, but still asking way too much. This only works with the best items in the game. Nobody is going to pay extra for a wooden sword. LOL

*Pulls out crystal ball*

I see an eventual frenzy of people trying to sell their accounts and moving over to Warhammer online.

*Looks at the very bottom of the page*

*Sees World of Warcraft advert*

Muhahaha, there after you, RUN!

lolzers, i just reactivated my WoW account yesterday.

and the balance of the universe remains constant...

I got 2x 60 rogues, forced myself to quit because the life was being sucked out of me. After about 1.5 years I came back, and I currently play with moderation. It doesn't suck the life out of me anymore, especially since I mostly avoid instances.

I'm fairly well equipped just from quests because I do them at the minimum level (it's almost equivalent to a Rare item like that). I level so fast the stuff gets outdated before I know it anyway.

65 priest, +411 Shadow, 15.3% crit, not bad at all for quest gear. I always top damage charts . . . . like yesterday me 35% damage (and 23% healing) versus a 69 rogue with 28%.

Overall it's fun if you can do it in moderation. My guildmates passed me around level 61, only to discover many of them were playing about 16 hours every day. Doesn't bother me really.

Really? I thought it was the other way around. Only the weak play wow. I mean... only on such a life could wow have such an impact.

That would be the case... if every player was a fiening WoW addict.

I thank the twat who hacked my account and fuked around with my LVL70 lock. I came back to find all my gold was gone and my epic special mount gone - felt like I'd been fingered up the asshole, so I deleted my character out of filthy disgust.

Dumb fuk did me a favour! Hooorayyy!!!

Ya i have quit it also, i did get burning crusade but i stopped once i got my first mount at level 40 lol, i felt there was no real reason to move on. Cant sell, but who cares.
