Is that Gman? As for the title, don't worry, go consult a physicist, we've all been through it b4 :P

I like it. Nice and simple :)
The Gman seems a bit blurry but alltogether good banner!

hes meant to be blurry. When i just put him in he looked kinda out of place so i changed the colour and sorta blurred him so he goes better into the background.

maybe it doesnt look so good blurred..

I like that, that's real good. With the first one, the gman should not be blurry, he looks really out of place like that. The second one is much better, but a couple of tips you could do.
a) Take a lasso tool and the original image of the gman, and go roughly over the outline of him, very roughly so you go inside him and outside by quite a bit (not too much though), then go to Select-> Feather (Alt+ctrl+D) and put in about 15 - 25 and copy and paste that. This makes him blend in alot better, and makes a more "fading" feel.
b) Put him behind the border, otherwise that defeats the purpose of a border :P
c) Colour him too. Here I would advise you to use Hue Saturation layer which I talked about before over the whole image (but behind the border, if you put that on a seperate layer). The gman now fits in very nicely with the background. :D

I really like that one ;)

*nods*
That is much better :D, but I think the background is much too prominent. Ill leave you with that, that's great

Yes, this topic went from a banner to names to dark corners and back to banners
