Some ideas for the Spy update...

I understand what you're saying and agree with you. However, I feel like it should take a little more skill from the pyros than just holding the left click button down.

The pyro was designed to be the anti spy. Just as the spy was created to be the anti sniper, and so on.

As a spy avoid all pyros.

Although I hate pretending that I know what would make the gameplay more interesting/balanced ('lol i have this awseaom idea and valve nededs to puti in nowWW!!!!!'), I'll throw in my two cents.

The problem: Spy checking makes a spy's life very short, and very difficult on large maps where there's plenty of time for the other team to sniff you out.

Solution: The people sapper. Replaces regular sapper. Instead of buildings, you place it on enemies. They get no indication that they have been sapped. What it does, is when one of their teammates shoots them to check them, it does a certain amount of damage--obviously not full damage, but enough to deter spy checks or to encourage people to do more bodychecks.

This wouldn't break the gameplay too much, and would be more of a novelty weapon that is difficult to use but has specific uses in certain situations, which is what the unlocks SHOULD be.

A little known side effect of the Bonk! Energy Drink is that it extinguishes fire. How about a replacement for the revolver that does that? Obviously works much faster than Bonk!

Again, I 100% agree and understand. However, it is not as easy for a spy to be anti sniper for example as it is for a pyro to be anti spy. Same with any other class. That is my point.

Or we could just give hime a minigun if we want him to be overpowered.

Edit: Found this.

Lethal Injection

(Replaces knife)

The syringe does no damage, doesn't backstab, and still removes your disguise. However, once you have injected someone there life becomes linked with your own. As soon as you die, anyone whom you have injected and hasn't died since then, will also die. Some restrictions are that picking up a medkit or reentering your spawn will cause everyone you have injected to be cured. Very good for wiping out many people on a team at once.

Spies aren't meant to be easy, they're meant to be one of the hardest classes to play as. If spies were as easy to play as a soldier, or even a heavy, TF2 would be full of spies and would become shit (Unless you're a pyro). As a spy, you're supposed to outsmart the enemy and try to avoid obstacles. Not run into the enemy base as if you were any other class on your team.

Every class requires a certain type and amount of skill. No class is reallly any easier to play than others, people are just more naturally suited to a certain play style.
