Some more of my work

done with traditional pen and ink in stippling. That is what most high school art teachers incorrectly refer to as "pointalism".

Ok...

I can't even tell if those are photos you just filtered in photoshop, or if you actually did them completely yourself... :(

if you did them yourself, nice job though...........................................

Ya know, I think the school's scanner ****ed up the shoe one because it honestly does look weird, (like a smart blur or something) I will rescan that at some point. It's all mine though! Thanks :-D

It's a shame they are so small. Can you scan them larger? Cheers mate.

Oops, I meant to say "pointilism"

EDIT: I think all of those works are at home, but I will see if I have any bigger versions here on my PC.

impressive work. specially the last two. btw, how does one stipple?

The technique is done by studying an area of by direct observation, or in a photograph, whichever you choose, and analyzing it's exact value. You then recreate that value by using (usually) pen and ink and just making little dots on your paper until the illusion of that value is created. You then move on to another area. It is SO MUCH easier with photographs.

Pointilism is the same thing, only with color - like to make a purply scene, you would make red dots, blue dots, and then depending on the light, whichever other colors would be needed etc...

I used to love pointelism, but ive not done it in a while because it can be so time consuming....then again i hardly do any art nowdays anyway.

Good work by the way and you can place more than one attachment in one post now.
