I played Silent Hunter... had a thiing for Submarine Sims for awhile when i was younger...i missed out on Silent Hunter 2...3 looks good, il definatly buy

Defined dated? I agree that the water impacts are buttugly (it doesnt even look like splash), but otherwise I see the most realisticly looking ocean depiction yet (with pretty ships on). You should especially watch the movie, the water effects are quite spectacular, although a little bland in color (we are all used to cartoonish and fancy Far Cry, lol!)

Well, you're not supposed to look that close, these are massive battleships. If those look bland, then Doom III, Far Cry and Stalker does too... Cause you'll see the same blurry textures if you move close enough (Doom III being worst).

Sidenote: And then we can question whether AF is used or not...
