Back in 1982.

The game is decent. Has a few scares, AI is as smart as a tree. Also, it's basically a sequel of sorts so play it if you want to know what happened.

Edeet: Does anyone have a link to the scene with the Norris thing, where his head rips apart from his body and grows legs and eyestalks?

I would agree but I know kids like him: not to that extreme, but add autism/asbergers to the mix and suddenly you have that monster.

Ah but take note of the scenes with the other people, it looks like he asked them/payed them to say those lines for his video. I don't think he would have done that if something was really wrong with him socially.

This thread really doesn't have a lot of traumatizing videos though.

Earlier today I watched a woman kill a cat with her shoes, puncturing the animal's body with her high heels. Last week, I watched a couple shoot a bear, have sex on top of its dead body, and then let dogs rip it apart.

That is traumatizing stuff. And it's horrific, saddening, and capable of making the most optimistic person lose all faith in humanity, if only for a few minutes.

Yes! The Thing is probably the best survival horror film I have seen. It's just psychologically terrifying.

I have never seen the thing, but I have read tons or reviews and summaries, and none of the clips scared me even a fraction of what I was expecting However, I will accept the explanation of youtube quality ruining it for me.

Yeah but even if you tested your buddies, they will still freak out on you. I also didn't give them the good guns because they would probably die. They would freak out in the worst possible scenario too. Also remember the part in which you had to shoot out those plane tires? Yeahhhh....:| Or the odd part in which you could just shoot the tiny creatures and they would melt. You would think you would use a flamethrower right?! I think this kid is either that stupid, or an absolute genius. He would have to be a genius to pull this off. But if he is faking, he's going to slip up eventually. It will be interesting to watch.

It's not so much a scary film, just a goddamn face-kickingly awesome film. Although, the more freakiest parts in the films (I found) aren't the more famous scenes you see around Youtube or the ones in this thread.

Some of the storyboards on the The Thing website (or fansite) are awesome. Wish some of them got included
