From IGN:

December 3, 2009 - What was once thought to be impossible has become reality.

A Taiwanese player has become the first person in the world to complete all 986 achievements found in World of Warcraft, reports CVG.

"Little Gray" on the Wrathbringer server managed to killed 390,895 creatures and completed 5,906 quests in total, according to the WoW Armory website. As you would expect, however, there is one slight problem that should be noted.

The player has yet to earn the holiday achievement 'BB King' but due to a bug with an old PvP achievement, he managed to earn two points, giving him 986/986.

It's unclear as of now if one man completed this feat or if it were many. It's possible this account was shared amongst a group of skilled guild members.

But still, it's hard to imagine playing a MMO game and finding yourself with nothing to do.

Damn, didnt know WoW had that many achievements...

It's sad in that he played WoW for so many long hours.

But hey, if he enjoyed it, I guess that's fine. I'm too lazy and more focused on other things, so I wouldn't be able to do that, or even try. Everyone has his own lifestyle, and it should be respected.

Except for communists, who should be burnt at the stake.

I have about 200/986 and I'm about to quit. the game is really a grind and nothing more. dungeons dont even excite me like they used to and pvp is dull

He has every 310% protodrake.

Must stab.

Wow....I wanna know how many hours it took for that.

Good for him, I guess. Should've spent his time on a better game though.

Technically he required a minimum of one year at the least. Some achievements are tied to holiday/seasonal events with only a week-long window to get all the associated ones.

Of course, you then also need to backtrack and complete all the dungeons and shit that existed before the achievement system was introduced.

Never played WoW and I have no clue how it works. Just throwing that out there.

Would had been fairly easy if this person played prebc. He would have made the effort to do as much as he could before the time achievements existed.

a lot of things you had to repeat once achievements came out to actually get the achievements for them.

Exalted with factions would have taken a lot of time to do pull off.

Unless she helped him get the achievements.

Snap.

Some achievements are pretty easy to do so I can see him taking a good chunk out of that from just playing normally really.

But like absinthe said, there are some achievements that are seasonal so dude has been at it for little over a year now.

I was his girl friend. He really did ignore me a hell'a lot but damn the sex was good, soo good with that "fire spell" finger.

He said he always keped this picture of me by his side. It helped him through the harder times.

This must be the person who was prophesied. The one... with no life.

Wow I didn't even know WoW had achievements, thank God I'm not into MMOs because Achievements are a big pain in the ass with my OCD, so if I actually liked WoW I'd probably spend all day trying to get every single achievement..

Thank God for not being a big fan of online gaming(at least not on public servers etc)

But hey, if he enjoyed it

Probably not. He may have OCD so he felt he had to do it (don't see any other reason why one would do it as I seriously doubt it'd be fun).

Don't even start with WoW. The achievements would drive you flaming nuts. Some of them are crazy.
