I impulse 203'd Alyx before using it so that she wouldn't die and I wouldn't have to restart.

Also, getting sucked into this with buddha mode on crashes the game.

The trick with the 'nade is pretty nifty though, even if it does defy God's law.
 
Now that I think of it it's a pretty useless weapon for a game where you're constantly followed by a companion. Even if they sorted out the cloning bug. BTW, there's a similar weapon in the Chaos expansion pack for Unreal Tournament IIRC.

They really need to have a button to make Alyx move to a position behind Gordon...I've lost count at the number of times I've caught her in a grenade explosion.
 
i think i said something about the hopwire in a thread some time ago.
EDIT: oh and try not to use buddha or god mode and get sucked in. usually the game will crash (for me anyway)
 
cany some make a... what is it... .cgf file? a script that automatically dose this and sets it for key #7
 
Some people I know wanted to try this out who did not own ep1 so I made this test mod with it in it. Just add a map to it to use it as I tried to set it to use the 220 app id but then it wouldn't load my binaries. So you can just copy a custom map you have or something to the maps folder or extract hl2 maps into it.

This weapon is VERY cool. I hope we'll see more of this kind of weaponry in the future episodes.
