Something that's bothering me with the new forum setup

I started a thread about it here and decided i wanted to start a poll to see what the majority thinks of this. Nothing serious...basically i like it better when our profiles are to the left, NOT above our posts. Maybe i'm just so used to it because that's how it's always been but i truly think it looks neater and more tidy that way. I also dont like how our name and avatar is on the left side and our join date and post count info is way on the right. So vote which way you like it.

Actually, i like it the way it is, but both ways suits me. Although the bit about the join date and post count is something i might agree with.

If you dont care then just dont vote. And are you kidding?? the new way takes up MUCH more space.

Hmm...i dont have the exact measurements of how the old way was but i cant say that i agree with it taking up less vertical space this way. And if you want to get an idea of how many people dont care, compare the amount of total votes so far with the amount of views this thread got and that should show ya.

I kinda like 'em on top... it feels more formal like Lil' Timmy said... but I'd still prolly be more confortable with them off to the side...

I say we stick with this for a while and see how we feel about it after a while.

edit: I don't like how the smiley buttons make it automaticly on the next line...

I just noticed that if you move your mouse over a thread's box...that a text box of the beginning lines of the post comes up. Cool.

Left is better.
This layout takes up a lot of vertical space, it feels like it was compressed to fit an 800x600 res better or something. I think it will also alienate new users, who are used to the more standard 'left-layout'.

An option in the CP with the left-layout as default will be the best alternative obviously.

I can't believe people have such strong opinions on this, IMO I really don't think it makes that much difference.
