Hello fellow citizens !

I-I don't really know what to write here. English is not my first language, so please excuse some of my dumb mistakes, heheh, I uh....still have problems with passive voice and some tenses. :shifty:
...
I live in Poland, the grumpiest and the most complaining country in Central Europe. I'm an ISFJ, who feels that its rather an INFJ. Half-Life is my favourite video games series. I really liked Portal's, but its fandom started to scare me. ( Chell x Wheatley  I still keep wondering how would they- NOPE ). I'm practising my drawing skills since 2006, yet I still can't draw hands or legs properly. I like watching anime and animated movies/films and daydream, A LOT. Also I've recently started to watch South Park. It's not as funny as I imagined. :grumpy:

That's all I guess. At least if you don't want to read my entire biography :sneaky:

PS: I don't want HL3 to be released :p............................ Okay, okay, maybe not for n- H-HEY ! Put those torches down !!

Hello, and welcome! Don't worry about the English, you're doing fine.

As for joking about not wanting Half-Life 3, I would actually take that statement seriously if you changed that to "Portal 2", because I firmly believe the Portal series has run its course, and that there is absolutely no need or room for a core sequel.

More Co-op DLC? Sure, why not? A full sequel? No thanks. Valve would have to do something pretty special to convince me otherwise.

I don't know... I'm still curios as to what the scrapped "F-Stop" mechanic is... and, for a while, VALVe was considering a prequel as opposed to a sequel... perhaps they had a story planned out for that... maybe? *SIGH* I guess as appealing as the idea of a new game sounds, portal really has run its course.

Welcome to Valvetime! We mainly talk about valves!

First, thank you. Second, I also think that there's not too much to say about Chell's (mis)adventures and her 'faithful' AI/robot. Although I hope that Valve will make new comics series set in the Half-Life universe. They did that with L4D and are doing that with TF2 comics, why not do the same/simillar thing ? Also, rather than focusing on the Borealis and Antarctica ( I guess ? ) and the whole Gman explanation thingy, I would LOVE to learn more about the post Black Mesa era in HL3. What and how did the society of both resistance and people under Combine's control, worked and lived for example. Or maybe get to know new characters ? They have to expand the relationships, especially with characters like Alyx and maybe Barney and Dr. Kleiner. ( I won't mention Mr. M. because he doesn't deserve it, after all, THAT CASSEROLE BLEW UP ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO, SHOW SOME MERCY ! ). I don't know why, but I always imagined HL3 to have two "additional story/plot expansion" DLCs rather than multiplayer modes. :bored:

And about F-stop. If people wouldn't complain so much about HL3.......

The F-Stop mechanic is the only thing which can and probably will be recovered from the planned prequel. We already know what pre-GLaDOS Aperture looked like and how it worked. We also know how the storyline of Cave Johnson and Caroline played out, making a prequel pretty redundant. It's probably better to try and create a new IP to focus on the F-Stop mechanic than to resurrect Portal for it (that or try and work it into an existing series that is still on-going).

There's been various people wanting to make Half-Life comics at Valve for a few years, but they've never been allowed, and it's rather obvious to see why. If Valve puts out a Half-Life comic without announcing a new game, people will either get really angry of unnecessarily hyped up. They could definitely release some comics prior to a new game in order to make recap some events or fill in the gap between several different events, but don't get your hopes up for the time being.

Given Gabe's comments in the past, it's likely Half-Life 3 will feature a co-operative scenario system or a separate campaign alongside a main singleplayer storyline. They could include a competitive multiplayer mode, but Portal 2's co-op proved their singleplayer game mechanics can be converted to co-operative situations rather easily while also proving more popular than Half-Life 2: Deathmatch ever did.

Hm, now I wonder what kind of a story/goal/whatever they could put in, if they will make that DLC co-op-friendly ofc. In P2's co-op campaign ( and its DLC ), I was surprised to encounter many references to what happened during single-player and our lovely GLaDOS even mentioned some extras ! ( ... okay, maybe we shouldn't believe in everything she says, but you get the point :geek: ). Would it be an escort mission ? A journey to a place X, while searching for Z ? .... Headcrab apocalypse ? :D But about those comics, that's kinda sad that they can't do anything because of those things :/ I was thinking about creating a fan comic on Tumblr, something like a diary of a person who whitnessed some of Combine's worst acts and such, but my biggest problems are the language, style of writing and the fact I have a bad habit of starting things, but never really finishing them, so I'm stuck with 2-3 panel mini-comics :/ Also, I digged into some older threads and noticed a pattern - Many people are very tired of making Gman theories. I am now terribly afraid of sharing mine :D

I was a bit disappointed that there where ONLY references to the single-player campaign. Throughout my first play-through of the multiplier, I was waiting for GLaDOS to be switched out with Wheatley. Don't know why, but I had assumed that the bots' story was happening in conjunction with Chell's.
