Songs you are ashamed of liking.

Johnny Cash is the own. Really, I wish he was still alive. His music is the own.

I'm ashamed to like "I'm black and I'm proud!"

I'm glad you agree. My fav CD is his comeback album: The Man Comes Around. Just Cash playing on a guitar and nothing more. Great stuff.

James Brown rocks. I just bought an album with a couple of songs from the beginning of the 70's. Sex Machine, Soul Power, stuff like that. Man, that is good music.

I used to like the Spice Girls (ashamed) but I don't like any embarassing songs now...really!

People tend to be ashamed for me listening to orchestra's, The Doors, Johnny Cash, The Cranberries, etc. Although I also like Children of Bodom, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir etc. I'm weird.

Now I'm properly ashamed.

I came across this Britney Spears mega-mix thing and I find it kind of cool. Oh God, shoot me!

they're ashamed you listen to classical music? instead, you should be ashamed of them. Sometimes I just enjoy turning on the classical station here and enjoying to my hearts content.

michael jackson. there are some really good songs of his, even though i don't like him personally. Billy Jean, great song.

They're ashamed because you like the doors...? the doors!?!?!

HOW CAN THEY THINK THAT?!!?!

The doors are awesome!!!

I have never really listened to Slipknot but always associated them with crappy emo teenage stuff, but recently I heard a live concert on the radio and I am ashamed to say I really liked it. :(

Yeah no joke. I'm ashamed you're friends with these people...

Oh God. I was ashamed of an (apparently) good song, you people are all just sick.

(j/k)

Ok, something really bad. Ever since Battlefield 2 came out, I've been listening to 'The Danger Zone' whenever I fly. I've heard it so much now I can't get it out of my head...I think I'm actually starting to like it...

It had been at least two weeks and you hadn't used it once. I figured why let a perfectly good welcome message go to waste. You are right about the fact that I should have given you credit for it though. I know it's sort of late, but Ennui, I'm sorry for having stolen your welcome message.

I'm more suprised/astounded at liking Michelle Branch than ashamed, given that my normal music is Nine Inch Nails and Grateful Dead, but it was the closest music to being ashamed of that I listen to.

lol its okay i dont particularly care, just fun to make a big deal out of when i dont have anything better to do

im still making fun of you for the 1000 posts thing btw

also bvgasm your birthday is 2 days before mine \o/

There are some pop songs I'm perfectly proud of liking, even though they're FAR from cool. But there are some songs that I'm very ashamed to admit to like, for example, Rachel Stevens' Some Girls, but then that does basically sound just like a Goldfrapp song, so that's my defense.

I was ashamed to like Kasabian, because I hated them when they first came out. Then I made a concerted, but ultimately futile, attempt to dislike them. Now I really like them. Same with Franz Ferdinand and Scissor Sisters, to name but a few.

Dshingis Khan.

Especially Moskau.
Oh yeah, and Murray Head's "One night in bangkok"

I have no clue why I like that song.

Kelly Clarkson - break away

Wow, it feels like a weight's been lifted off my shoulders...

Underworld - Cowgirl, that song rawx, but no one must ever know. >_>

Foutains of Wayne- Stacies Mom

and

Elvis Costello- Accidents Will Happen

One i'm not AS ashamed of

Elvis Costello- Green Shirt

Ditto lol... i'm quite embarrased to admit i was a fan now though lol. Although Significant Other is a ****ing great album.

The first album I ever bought was the Vengaboys, i heard them the other day and only now I realised just how poor that music is lol.

I bought a PJ & Duncan single once. I think it was called "Eternal Love" or something similar. I don't know how I remembered that.

Some others:

Baddiel/Skinner/Lightning Seeds - Three Lions, the official England song for Euro 96 (I'm Scottish and I don't like it anymore)
Bangles - Eternal Flame

Kalan Porter - Single
Kelly Clarkson - Behind These Hazel Eyes

It makes me cry :'(

"Holla Back Girl" and ... um ... that new Backstreet Boy's song "Incomplete" and ... [gulp] ... "Toxic" by Brittany Spears.

I like that song because the basslinethingy is almost identical to a Tiberian Sun track.

If you all promise not to tell, I think I have the most emberassing album in my collection. It beats out Backstreet, N'sync, 98 Degrees, all of those shitty bands, by absolute miles.

Yeah, that's right, I own a copy of Shaquille O'neal-Shaq Diesel, with such hits as, "I know I got skillz" and "I hate to brag."

I was a confused child, alright?

No, that was my first and only. It's actually kind of nice to have as a novelty item, people hardly believe me until I bust it out and play it for them. Well, play 20 seconds of the first song for them, because they can't stand it anymore. But yeah, it always manages a laugh.

Have you heard a song of his called Ode to Shaq?

"Shaq Shaq here, a Shaq Shaq there, here a Shaq, there a Shaq, everywhere a Shaq Shaq."

:x

Hey, Dre is quality. The other two you listed are complete crap, but Dre knows how to produce amazing beats.

Don't be ashamed. Be proud.

Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out

Most people probably know this song from the PSP commercial, I liked it before it was on the commercial, so I don't like it jsut cuz it was on a commercial, IDK..... People I know don't like this song at all, but I could listen to it all day and not get tired of it.

These Words by Natasha Bedingfield and Call on Me by Eric Prydz.

But I get leniency due to the Eric Prydz video!
