Sony Apologises for Jesus ad

"Kids shouldn’t be induced into believing that the passion of Christ is a game."

He's right there. It's definitely no trivial 'game.'

The passion of the christ is a major motion picture now out on DVD and VHS.

I just thought of something. You know those fake fireplaces that use gas to burn and have fake wood inside?

It would be awesome to make a burning cross like that. :D

And then just leave it burning all day in your front yard.

*ahem*
HAY GUYZ! I HATE DEM BLACKS SO I'MA GONNA MAKE A COMPUTER GAME ADVERT THAT SHOWS A BUNCH OF BLACK DUDES ALL DEAD WITH A KKK GUY SAYING "BUY PLAYSTATION!"

Now that's offensive, but making light of the suffering of one man, whom many, including myself, consider to be the Son of God, is not?
But go ahead, mock my faith and beliefs, and have a good time doing it.

Yeah, i suppose it must of been a striking and eye catching advert with people...but i would of atleast proof my work, if i do think it's touchy, with someone who might find it offences. I'm sure they could of gone up to a local priest and show them some demoes and ask their opinions on it. It just seems to be Sony's fault and the Catholics were just defending their faith after being offended by the advert.

If you see a picture that is making a joke or a mockery for someone you believe in and adore and follow and idolise a great deal, you would be offended.

likenesses of dead and living celebrities are used in advertising all the time, often without consent. Sure it may be in bad taste but I dont think it's that bad ..have you seen the video for song "Jesus christ pose" by soundgarden? Is that in bad taste? the only difference here is that soundgarden is pushing a creative work yet they both have the same goal: advertise a product

Isn't a music video sort of selling the album the song is off of?

I have to agree with the Christians. For one the kid in that paper looks like a bloody goon.
