Thinking of purchasing a Sony PSP from a company in Hong Kong:

Lik-sang.com

for about £220 ($379.80) for the Giga Pack and NFS: Most Wanted, with free international shipping.

Question: The PSP is the Japanese version (cant choose any other) and NFS is the Euro version...would the 2 clash? ie Euro game not running on Japanese console?? I cant find any other PSP Console versions, just different game versions (US, Europe, Japanese etc). Last thing i want to have is the game not working and having to send it back to Hong Kong.

Any answers or suggestions would be much appretiated before i charge in and buy.

Regards

Lol in advance if there not compatable.

The PSP is region free for games but not for UMD movies

Well you cant use English DvDs in American DVD players (As I found out on my 2nd american holiday) but I dont know if there is a similiar restriction between Japanese and European content...i'd assume they are compatible though

That's so expensive.. Why would you pay that much.. And especially for a Japanese version..

Expensive? Heh. This is a funny comment coming from you, tbh.

Yes yes, we all know. I wear Abercrombie jeans, I make fun of poor people. The whole deal. But still, paying EXTRA money, and a lot more at that, for a Japanese PSP seems ridiculous and stupid..

well considering it comes with a 1gig stick as opposed to the OBISMAL 34mb stick in the standard and value packs, i think its darn cheap. Plus, here you pay roughly the same amount for a standard PSP and 1/2 games.

Thanks Solaris...ahem...

Im also assuming the PSPs sold here in the UK are Japanese versions, as i havent seen any saying European version? or ANY version for that matter.

Edit: DreadLord, we're only talking a £40-50 difference. The price i stated DOES include one game aswell, so the ACTUAL PSP price is just over £200 compared to 250ish here for the same deal...without any games = pointless

Ok you proved me wrong, however:

Shipping: Currently, item can be shipped only within the U.S.

pretty pointless :E

Plus it has the stock 32mb Stick which is pathetic. Id prefer 1gig and pay $30 more.

Well, the point is that you got screwed. "The lower price" doesn't really matter when your PSP doesn't work for half of the stuff.

Havent been screwed, i havent even bought anything yet as i wasnt sure, which is why i posted this up...

You edited your post. K, before it said like "I purchased" or "I got" a PSP from etc.

*caught red handed* Bah.

Yeah i can see where youre coming from.

Anyone know the answer to the original question??? We've slightly drifted off track it seems :E

Nope the one I posted had the one gig stick as well. Without the 1 gig stick it's a mere $250.

You got royally screwed.

A - B - Y - S - M - A - L

Quite simple, really.
