Sound Card question

Heres my deal I am going to be running a laptop for HL2, I have no choice as that is all I have for now. But I really want decent positional audio so I was thinking of upgrading to an Audigy NX and perhaps some Zalman 6 channel headphones (because I am not in a place to use 6.1 speakers. Whats the opinion on this setup?

Are you sure that you can upgrade to that card on that laptop?

The Audigy 2 NX is pretty good, especially for surround sound setups.

Yeah, that is a usb 2.0 sound card man.
