sound problem ?

Please help ive tryed installing new graphics drivers over and over everytime i play the game it seem fine till i start to shoot and alot of sound is going on and i get lag spikes is it my onboard sound causeing this, do i need to get a soundcard to handle this game PLEASE HELP ASAP

it is entirely possible that the game is taking alot of your CPU power, and therefore cannot handle the sound processing, a 5.1 card are so cheap these days, and takes additional strain away from CPU, also you often tend to get unwanted "noise" from onboard sound, this being one of the reasons that some M/B companies (DFI for example) supply their boards with a card that slots in place to cut down on the interferance. for the sake of £15 - id suggest its worthwhile even if it doesnt end up fixing it, you dont have much to loose.. Do bear in mind it is a beta though, so there could be some bugs around too

I have a high definition 24 bit 96khz sound card and I am getting the same lags and also a looping/glitchy sound issue that often results in a crash and the hard reset...
