Just sounding you lot out for this..

-=256=- are thinking...cut to the chase any chance all you [HL2] would think about getting back together properly for a series of friendlies in a possible league/ladder format?

Early days on this, but if around 12 of you can confirm then i'll let ya'll know more

If we are doing another game against the 256 clan I am there. That was the best BF2 day ever for me.

You'll have to give me a date and then I can say.

Depends entirely on when it actually is. However, I'll do my best to make it.

yea, Id need to check to see if I could once we get a date.

Bleh wish I could but I'm stuck overseas...

;(

I'm in for sure. Started playing BF2 again recently.

This will be happening so when we get dates i hope you lot can get yourselves sorted out!

Will probs make a board on the 256 forums for this thing too soon :)

Well, next week I start my job, and it's going ot be 4AM - 1PM...so yeah.

Yikes...

That said, that idea sounds really fun. Let's do it on Road to Jalabwhatever, I imagine that that map would be loads of fun to scrim on.

Road 2 Jalashitshit sucks. I hate the map :( I evade it whenever possible. Then again, I hated wake when I first played it..so maybe i'll like it later, but as of now, I hate it :(

I still hate Wake :P.

I love it, plus, it's a great, cheap way to rack up medic points :P

Meh, I like Jalalabad. Its a very tactical map, you need teamwork and co-ordination, which is good.

Meh, the wide openness of the first flag is impossible, with the tanks shelling you from afar, with jihad jeeps going everywhere...I guess I just don't like the fact it goes from spread out to clausterphobiaville.

The level just really doesn't sit well with me for some reason. Though it's REALLY easy to get your transport badges from it.

That and I don't like Karkand much either, and they are alot alike...lack of air...mass infantry/random tanks and such. Though tanks have a harder time at surviving due to the massive amounts of cover.

How comes? The only class i never play is medic so i'd like to know why.

Medics rack up points so face because they just revive/heal all the time, plus they have really good guns to rape with, so it's the perfect class on ANY urban map.

I think Support can get more points faster/easier than a medic on urban maps mainly because of the ammo packs.

You only get a heal point once you heal a full bar's worth of hp whereas you get a resupply point as long as the person picks up the bag.

I used to play Spec-Ops and Assault a lot, and racking up points was a bitch, since it was a matter of getting kills, or capturing points. Then I started a new account and tried Medic, and I got to Lance Corporal in a few hours (on the contrary, doing Assault and Spec-Ops on my old account took over 10 hours). On Jala, basically just stand in an area with a lot of combat, revive fallen people, get two points, repeat. It's a helluva way to rank up. Plus, they aren't too shabby at combat either, especially with their unlockable weapons.

Support is RIGHT under medic, because if you look, most people don't take the time to learn the support guns *I Think the SAW is the best gun in my arsenal..but everybody argues it's the worst...oh well* so the support loses the raw firepower of the 2.

Ammo Packs. Most people will die before they even reload. Then you get 2 points per revive, when ammo you get 1, and you can revive the same person 5-6 times before the other guy is sick of that, and kills you. You can give one person ammo and get points once and then you can't for a short while afterwards.

But I do know what you're talking about. I have a tendency to out-point medics while I'm Support mainly becuase I can take people out effeciently with my SAW, and I know where to toss those ammo bags. :)

Everytime i've picked up a medic's kit (when a medic dies i take his kit and revive him with it for teamwork purposes) i find myself with some shit gun on burst fire of 1 or 3 bullets, what is that about? I think the MEC medic gets a normal AK which is fully automatic (and thats the only good thing). Perhaps i will try out medic alot more in the future, i suppose just hanging back & healing/ reviving is all you need to do to do well?

The AK's are the best guns IMHO. But you can some crap gun with 3 bullet bursts? Either the default M4, or the unlock. The unlock *forgot it's name, it's black and has a weird sound when firing* is godly. aim at the chest then fire and usually withing 2 bursts, they are dead. The M4 requires some practice with to get any good at.

Hanging back and healing/reviving is what alot of people do, but I'd rather be killing some guys to help the team out whenever I can.

Medics get unlocks too, the g36c I believe is the one your talking about.

Many players like me play as front assualt medics. Just kill a few enemy soldiers, heal and kill some more. It's great on Jala becuase of that mainly fenced off cap point past first fountain.

I'm pretty sure that Medic guns for either sides don't have burst fire. The American one is an M4, anyway.

The m4 is a burst fire gun. It's the only default medic gun that has burst fire, the others are auto/1

What about the unlocks? The one with the scope is 1 or 3 bullets isnt it? L8...something.

Umm...M4 is Spec-Ops full Auto/Single Shot

Umm...M4 is Spec-Ops full Auto/Single Shot

Spec ops: M4A1 (single/auto) (14.5" barrel with step + collapseable stock + detachable carry handle)
Assault: M16A2/M203 (single/3 round burst + GL) (20" barrel + fixed stock, under barrel GL + heat shield)
Medic: M16A2 (single/3 round burst) (20" barrel + fixed stock, ribbed foregrip)

the M4 (Single/ 3 round burst) (14.5" barrel with step + collapseable stock + fixed carry handle) does not appear in BF2.

The one with the scope, L85A1, has a 1 bullet or full auto. It also has a brother, G36-E, in the unlock category. Does it look like the one you were using?

That one looks like the right one. It says the firing modes are Single / Burst (ARGH!). The L85A1 has Single / Auto (which i didn't know), which i think is the one with scope.

Well i have an unlock i havent used in ages, Engies - mp7
or Medics - L85A1

I like the MP7, personally I'd go for it. The L8 is no good unless you use medic, which you say you don't.

The L85 used to completely pwn in game, until they did something to it. I think they made it less accurate.

But i have lots of hours on engineer from being a commander and repairing things like artillery, when your team doesnt do shit to protect supply crates of commander toys. Medic have nothing for...i'm thinking about learning to play with medic. Basing them on that even platform, what do you think?
