Soundblaster Live Ports

I've been having a problem with my speakers lately, and I think it might be the soundcard. But I've already posted that here.

What I would like to know now is the function of all of the ports on the back of the Soundblaster Live Value. There is a green one, and right next to it a black one of the same size. Now I have my speakers plugged into the green one - is the black one also an analog output port, or is it something different?

I understand if my soundcard is simply too archaic or my question to obscure to be answered, but I am curious.
