I thought Valve said they would release benchmark software closer to release. Maybe it's exclusive to CZ and Voucher owners for a couple of weeks...

maybe the bench will come with some of the hl2 preload. but whatever, ill get the benchmark one way or another. im a hl2 fan that wants to test his computer for hl2, and i can't, yet counter-strike players can. it blows my mind

however, mine DOES play well in the game.
I can run the games at the highers RES with the same outputs.
So, GUYS wait until PCI Express comes out.

I hope Gabe will surprise us all with the benchmark being included with tonight's preload, the HL2 fans who preload but don't own CZ or a voucher are all dying to see how our systems will handle HL2. I think steam can handle an extra 60mb per user, or however much the VST is.

I suggest you watch the movie of the benchmark, cause I doubt anyone is gonna rip an empty map.

Well if the choice for valve is between that risk or many people warezing HL 2 before buying it to test how it runs on their PC I knew what I would pick..

Cracking a benchmark version of HL2 isn't a big concern considering that the game is most likely coming out in about a month.
