Source Fishing Mod

Hello, total newbie here (cue Flaming Newbie Death Sounds).
Just wondering how best to get started making a fishing mod using the Source engine? In Garry's Mod you can add rope, sticks, etc (though I can't find the fishies from the CS map with the fountain), and attach 'em all together, so I was just wondering if it would be possible to add some AI to a fishy model, add a lure model to the engine, and get the fishy to chase the lure when it was moved around in the water.
Just to begin with...
Although the AI could be tricky???
Sorry for the broad, sweeping, dismissive nature of these suppositions guys.
Like I said, a newbie's ponderings.
Any ideas, or pointers to good sites to learn to mod HL2 would be great.

we don't usually flame newbies unless they're asking what Half-Life 2 is. Then we hit them.

it's a lot more work than it probably sounds - quite a bit of coding involved there.

I'll have to look into the coding option then?
By the way, what actually is this thing called "Half-Life 2"?
