Source Sports?

...like Football or Hockey.

First off: is it possible?

Second is: could it be implemented in a way that would be fun?

Third: is anyone working on a mod like this?
Ive looked all over but can't find any.

If you answered yes and yes to the first 2 questions and share a high enthusiasm in sports as I do, you should consider joining the mod team!

Personally, I'd love to make a hockey Mod and have some great (Well... at least I think they're very good ) ideas on how to make it possible and very fun. Maybe its just because I am craving Hockey and want a league that will never lock out, but I'm open to any sport Mod Ideas. Please give feed back, and Help is wanted.

It is incredibly possible. The physics are in place, the graphics engine is light years beyond what we see in sports games. It's just the processing of rules and getting the AI to act properly that would be difficult.


Now, a fantasy sports type game that was multiplayer and not as dependent on AI teammates would be even easier.

Sourceball is a fantasy sports mod, take the ball and throw it in the hope while avoiding enemies I think is the jist of it (from what I saw of that video they released)

Sports mods would be difficult to create because it would be awkward to control the ball and you couldn't do some sneaky moves (or it would be awkward to activate them)

But yes it is possible

I'd like to see a game like Pro Evolution where the camera isn't in the directly-behind the player position.
