That new spam bill in the U.S. makes it so that those 'remove' thingies have to actually work, and you'll be able to send an e-mail to some government address in order to compile the worst spammers. Then, people may be able to sign up for a "no spam list" (like the "no call" list I guess...).

But I don't get spam...

I hate spam so much...

I mean, its the fact that they keep sending it from a million (quite literally) different addresses. I didn't want it in the first place, and i still dont want it. Who cares about that Hilton girl? I dont! "Your email address will be removed from our database within 24-48 hours", oh yeah sure, thats great, I've now done that 12 times over the past few weeks, and i still get the messages. They aren't blocked out by the junkmail filter either.
I know how that guy would have felt.


Even if one person responds to the spam, they make a profit. It takes just one little...person, to make the spammers some money as well as give them incentive to carry on.

I dont like the opt out idea. Basically you say you dont want to receive spam, well really you should be able to choose to receive it and if you dont want to, dont choose to. The opt out idea, gives the spammers a way around the laws.

You should NOT NOT NOT click that link, thats just confirmation for them that your email is active, and they will give out your email to others witch means more spam.

Most of them do actually work though, because like the guy said they are making it illegal to not have them.

you can say what you want about sublimal messaging/advertising, but no matter how many spam mails I get I still DON'T want a mortgage loan, viagra pills or penis enlargments tools....

Anyway, there needs to be an orginization that regulates, investigates, and sues spammers. I had a single spammer send me 1200 spam emails before my inbox overflowed. I missed an important buisness related email because of that.
