I have 5.1 surround sound, they were working fine till today. I turned on winamp and started listening to some perfect circle when I realised my back speakers were not working. I checked my creative speaker control panel and the control panel and my comp. Everything is set to 5.1 and when I run the noise test all my speakers work and when I run the channel test everything works. I even loaded up windows media player to check, winamp has been known to give me this problem, but my back speakers are still not working. Whats up?

First of all what soundcard are you using, how are you connecting your speakers and lastly music isnt in 5.1 so your rear speakers should not be working. Make sure to turn on some encoding effects in the control panel so it will try to put some sound in the back speakers.

i have a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum (mommy made a mistake, a good one lol)

my music was working, ill fool around with the control panels a bit more

waht kind of speakers?

i had the same problem running it through an amplyfier but thats because the only digital out my card had was for a 4 pin mini jack. and i have yet to find one
