Can anyone here wholeheartedly recommend a new set of 2.1 computer speakers? I'm no audiophile, but I do want clean, crisp sound and good bass. I am also limited by space on my desk, so I'd prefer that they be reasonably small.

And just in case you think I'm completely insane, I can't get a 5.1 setup because my desk doesn't have any space for it.

Thanks for any advice,

Have you looked at Apples speakers? They offer great sound on a 2.1 set-up.

What's your price range?

While they're 4.1, I have to recommend the Logitech Z-560's. They are easily the best value out there. 400 watts of power and sound clarity rivaling Klipsch's for ~$130. I bought them a month or two ago and they don't dissappoint (and the bass is, as you requested, POWERFUL :naughty: )

Powerful, eh?

But by Apple speakers, RandomPING, do you possibly mean the JBL Creature speakers? I've been considering those, and I've heard people say that they're tied to Apple.

Creative Labs Itrigue 3300's.

I rocked those for a few months. They could really pump out some sound and the sub was awesome. Definitely reccommend them to you.

i got Logitech Z-560's with my alienware and let me tell you , THEY KICK ASS! the subwoofer huge tho. its got its own remote, pump the sound full blast with your fav music and its great, floor rumbles and everything :D :naughty:

Yeah, I looked those up on Amazon.com and the reviews were overwhelmingly positive.

The Logitechs, though, according to Reader Reviews, are prone to a blown subwoofer, something that I've already been through and don't want to go through again.
