I'm sure some of you have heard about this, but for those who haven't, it's a new kind of navigation thing.

I haven't used it much and it's a little confusing at first but you should give it a shot and tell us what you think.

edit on second thought, its missing a few things it really needs,
1.banish to 3d view
2.apps dont update in 3d at the moment

Yes you can unistall it. Its kind of like a program, you can chose to open it or not.

What about background/wallpapers, since that's a biggie for me (don't want a wireframe as a background).

ie: how do you create wallpapers from normal 2D wallpapers?

There is an option to select the wallpaper you currently have on your 2D desktop.

However, (this is because I'm a gamer) I have two problems with this thing. The wallpapers are not a high enough resolution to make be happy, and the damn windows suffer from aliasing artifacts which drive me bonkers.

Too bad AA and AF don't work for this program, that would be awesome.

Right now it is a novelty, but give it a couple of years and I think it will replace the standard windows desktop as we know it.

I'm not sure about some of the questions. I haven't used it much.

Just got it today as a matter of fact.

And to clarify a bit, it's a program not an integrated thing. You just shutdown the program to get rid of it.

And to set your own background, go to the options, second tab.
I'm using the earth's lights and it's really cool. My icons are over the atlantic.
