Spiderman 2 Demo out!!!

I know you're thinking its some hack-and-slash game with fighting incorporated. Well, you're right. But they said that it would have more of a GTA feel to it. Like you can go where T F you want and the storyline won't be so linear. I don't care what it is- it can stifle my yearning for HL@ :imu:
 
Well i've got this crowbar here and a box of tissues and i've got acces to teh interweb, so i'm set for a looong wait.

Im just about to download the demo now.

THIS GAME SUX. Like when you have to "put the enmeies to sleep" by knocking them out, they don't even appear unless you'ew on top of a skyscraper looking down. HEre' s ascreen of two guards still holding they're guard b/c bad guys were just up ag ainst their shields. PAthetic.

no offense but reading your post was like pulling teeth, spelling man spelling!!!! I had no idea what you were getting at when you talked about the gaurds

the demo is a beta demo that was only intended for russian audiences, I'm sure it's full of bugs
 
Coins? it's 2004 and they still make games where you have to collect coins?
 
Note: this is NOT really Spiderman 2, it's some sort of promotional thingy specially developed for this. It's meant to be bundled with cornflakes and some sort of russian drink.

....im confused. why would a game be made, that promises GTA style landscapes, if its just some crappy russian giveaway??? looks crap, anyway, so im not going to worry about it. the origonal PS game (that WASNT a crappy movie tie - in) was bloody class. the sequel was OK, but everything after that SUCKED.

seriosly, if you have a playstation / PS2 and want a budget games, spiderman OWNED.
 
I don't think that demo represents a damn thing in the REAL version. I don't know where the F that thing came from, but it has none of the features from the previews. You can't swing from poles or do cool tricks in this demo. That game is rated "T"? WTF should be rated Early Childhood "EC") for its weakass hit animations and effects. Sorry, just a little angry!

:dozey: The demo indeed suck ass, was it even worth to be an actual demo?!?! I mean the AI was shit, graphics shit, BAH everything was shit(what the hell was up with the whole 50 coins thing!!?!?). They better step it up for the final release.
 
The pc version and the console version is different, Just look at the screens for the xbox version and you will see that they are two totally different games.

aw goldenboi dude dont take the sh!t they say to heart, you seem like a good kid.. anywho yeah they pulled the demo off the sites dude so I guess they realized it sucked too!
 
Ok.... it now seems that there never will be a PC version of the Spiderman 2 game as seen on the consoles. This is really what you'll see on the PC in a short while. While the console owners get a far superior completely different game. This one is rated E and the PS2/Xbox/GC version is rated T.

Who the hell at Activision makes these decisions?

RUMOR #2: An official demo for the PC version of Spider-Man 2 has been released.

The official story: E-mails to Activision reps were passed along to other Activision reps, who had not responded as of press time.

What we heard: Yesterday a demo appearing to be that of Spider-Man 2 appeared on the Web and was quickly mirrored by numerous download sites. However, given that it hadn't come from Activision, its provenance seemed to be a bit of mystery. Some thought it was a pirated beta version of the game. Others, including Blue's News, traced its origin to a promotion for a Russian soft drink. However, the demo's origin is much closer to home--Battle Creek, Michigan, to be exact. The Midwestern town is the headquarters of Kellogg's, the food multinational corporation and maker of Cheez-Its. As it turns out, the Spider-Man 2 PC demo is being released exclusively as a Cheez-It promotion; send in two UPCs from boxes of the deliciously caloric crackers and you'll get a demo disc of the game. While the promotion's exclusivity would explain why many sites yanked the demo yesterday, it doesn't explain why its splash screen listed the game's developer as Fizz Factor (The Hobbit) instead of Treyarch (that's because Spider-Man 2 for the PC will be a totally different game than its PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube siblings). According to reports, Spider-Man 2 for the PC will be a child-oriented, mass-market game along the lines of Finding Nemo instead of the open-ended, Grand Theft Auto-style console game.
