Exactly what it says on that site. About how news is spinned by the mainstream media, and how it negativly influences our perseption of the news. The movie get's interesting after 18 minutes, then it shows some really interesting things.

Kind of interesting. It's a shame that the piece is so dated and all the particular bits of news it refers to is from the early 90's. If anything spin is even more powerful nowadays, but I find it hard to believe that news corporations would sent out naked unscrambled live feeds for just anyone to intercept any more.
For a glance at the spin thing done from a UK perspective, I can't recommend strongly enough a comedy series called The Thick Of It. It's done kind of in the style of The Office and follows a UK government department as they try to outwit the press. I recommended it before in another thread, but it's great stuff. As far as I know it's not out on DVD or anything so one of the only places you'll be able to see it atm is a certain place in the UK where they are quite inNOVAtive, but as always watch out for those filthy .commies.

Yeah just your usual spin, nothing really shocking enough to warrant any concern. As Laivasse said, I'm sure the spin is even worse nowadays. The only thing I found interesting was how they used the satellite feeds to get the protesters out of the Clinton rallies.

It was pretty horrifying how the news networks effectively shut one of the Democrat candidates out of the running for the leadership contest, but it's not my politics and I didn't know many of the figures involved.

I really hope people knew about these stuff already. Nothing new in that movie but its still interesting.

I've seen parts of this years ago ..great find ..some of the news even though it's over 10 years old is still poignant today ..lol @ GH Bush saying "do you think saddam is watching right now?"
