Sam Fisher is now a fugitive, pursued by the very government he once served. And to survive he'll need to create an underground network of allies to help him out. But he'll be without all the flashy gizmos he's used to, and will have to rely on using his surroundings and quick thinking over night-vision goggles and remote cameras.

Stealth will still be a key feature, but it's more than simply lurking in darkness. Losing yourself in a crowd and creating distractions will be important, as will using your surroundings as makeshift weapons.

What you wrote we already know from that finnish preview that came out several weeks ago, but yeah it's nice to get a bit more detailed preview from IGN!:)
I really can't wait for this, it seems to be borrowing quite a few concepts from Assassin's Creed(Not surprising considering it's, atleast partially, the same team ;))

Man they are really starting to change the style of Splinter Cell...

Anyways nice preview :) UbiSoft sure loves their crowd simulations now I guess with this and Assassin's Creed.

still haven't tried double agent because of the retarded descision to only support SM 3.0....such a retarded move by the development team...

the bit about being able to tag on to the end of a group of crowd sounds interesting....also this is being made by ubisoft the same company who is making assasins creed.....now the assasin in that has a cool crowd feature thing where he blends in with the crowd and moves swiftly through it

anyone think the crowd 'surfing' as ubi puts it will be like assasins

Reminds me more of Hitman now than SC. That "creating a commotion" thing could get contrived fast.

sounds good and they said it would be in time for xmas! :O

Sounds great, but I expect it to be more of the same semi-scripted encounters from the previous games

Saw this in the new Game Informer issue. The whole "Heroes Instinct" thing sounds kinda neat, but kinda meh at the same time. I like how you can throw objcts now.

They need to do an updated Spies vs. Mercenaries multiplayer... Pandora Tomorrow was awesome because of that alone. I don't really like any of the singleplayer stuff!

I hope they blatantly rip off assassin's creed with the ninjistics shit. Maybe not the acrobatics, but at least some transporter style getaway moves.

His new look reminds me of that long-bearded bum-looking dude in that series.. The 4400?:D
