Alyx Dies.

By the looks of it, Combine + Houndeye = Combeye? Or are they simply ministriders?

That could apply to bloody anything, but im assuming they're trying to revive alyx (from coma, or whatever). Of course, valve are probably misleading us, we never see alyx fall.

Yeah, like in one of the Episode 1 teaser (Think the last one, 4th) where she says, "D0g! NO! D0G!!!"..It sounded like he got crushed, but he doesn't. They took two totally different scenes to make it look dramatic.

She's probably well alive..Or maybe the entire episode is based on chasing a cure for her? Chasing her assailant?

Think of Episode 1 Teaser 4. Valve made it look like Dog was crushed, but was he? No.

In the Episode 2 trailer, she loses one arm's grip. Though she clearly hangs on with the other hand. Dog probaly grabs her at the last minute or something.

Actually in ep2 Alyx IS alive, How you ask. Well in a HL2:ep2 edition of PC Gamer magazine Valve said "She's at gordon's side for most in ep1, though she's seen less in ep2, her Role remains important, and her character continue's to enjoy a deeper level of development Than any other in the game-including Gordon himself" thats a quote from vlave themselves, so no worries here .
