I liked the ending, but It's gonna be hell waiting another 6 years maybe even more for HL3

well according to Gabe, there will be a long period where he allows his team to rest a while and do mini projects based on HL2. So it looks like hHL# will not be out for a long time. However they did keep HL2s development secret for a long time.
