Ok this might be a stupid thread but I really don't care.

I've just entered Nova Prospekt. Up until now I've been seriously enjoying this game but omfg I didn't think it could get any better!

This is the first game where I have actually just burst out laughing to myself at the sheer amazingness of it. I actually sat back and said 'wow' at what Valve have created here. I own both Doom3 and Farcry and neither of them have amazed me as much as this game has - and I'm not even near the end yet!!! Anyone who slates this game, sorry but you simply just don't have a god damn clue about what makes a good single player, first person shooter!!!!

*POTENTIAL SPOILER!!!!!*
As I said, I've just entered the prison and the atmosphere is just ridiculously convincing, and the music has a seriously omnious feel about it! Up until now I thought Farcry had better water effects but I just spent ages in a room full of water gob smacked at how realistic it looked with all the rusty metal work surrounding it and the dirty copper coloured water. It's just amazing!!! So then I leave that room chuckling to myself and enter a corridor when suddenly a tiny piece of glass falls from the ceiling onto the floor infront of me...I look up quickly thinking WTF was that....oh nothing...just about to carry on walking when about 4-5 of those poisonous head crabs come crashing down - the timing was perfect, I'm just glad I had my shotgun out!!!

I know I'm just repeating what most of you have probably already experienced but I just had to get this off my chest.

If anyone from Valve is reading this....thankyou for such an amazing game.

oh and I forgot to mention the CCTV camera with the elusive G-man on it! How cool is that?! :thumbs:

I couldn't have said it better myself.

I've never been more involved in a game. People need to listen to you or watch Mesh and just let themselves go. It seems like the only people who didn't like it were the ones overanalyzing every detail.

The atmosphere made the game. It was like reading Poe.

I think anyone with a half decent imagination should love this game.....it is simply breath taking and I really can't understand how someone could not like it, it baffles me!!!

And If you haven't played the game, God forbid, please BUY IT AND PLAY! You will have an awesome, diverse, immersing and generally extratransquishifying (in a good sense of the word, of course) experience.
