SS2 help

I am trying to set up a game of System Shock 2 with my brother who is on the same connection that I am. We can play in the same server in other games, but we can't host IIRC. I think it is because of my router, how do I set it up so I can host.

do u mean like have a 1vs1 lan game or host a server online because with some routers u cant host online

I just tried with a crossover cable and we tried everything, nothing would work. I couldn't even ping him.

Ya pretty much. I also tried to setup a network (windowsxp) and that was hell. I never found an option to join a workgroup or anything, and I also couldn't ping my brothers computer even though we were using a working crossover cable.

lan with ss2 i belive used ipx and might have to install that protocol

as for the workgroup you can easly change it in system properties(windows key , pause key) under the computer name tab
