Stalkers in Aftermath: Lovely!

they wont have stalkers, int the original hl2 if you npc spawned a stalker and killed it, the game would crash

They try to yell different things at different times, the usual gist of it is
"Oh God..." "Help me", and "put it out". Its hard to hear because they
are shouting thru a mouthful of Headcrab.

I think the freakiest thing about the zombies is when a well placed shotgun blast actually rips the headcrab off the guy's head and you can see what it has done to the once human's face. And it only gets worse when you do the same to the fast and poison zombies... Oh, god, the poison zombies... *Shiver*

As for the stalkers, they're just plain disturbing, you feel sorry for them. Killing them seems like... How best to put this... Ah, I quote Father Grigori, "You meant no harm... Balm for your affliction, child!" :sniper:

BTW, first post, good to finally be here!

Then why the new models and being armed around some?
ha ha... I was LOL because that's the stupidest thing I have heard in along time! Of course there are going to be stalkers in aftermath. Just because the first game crashed when you shot at one doesn’t mean that valve won’t put them in aftermath... You can bet that they won’t fire a welding laser from their feet either.

I know.

where have you guys got this information about welding lasers from?

You know what's wierd. I can kill stalkers without the game crashing(or at least I could. I haven't re-intalled HL since I had to format the computer. I guess I'll have to do that and get the updates before AM comes out)

You can see them use the welding lasers when your in the citadel in HL2, it would be appropriate for them to use it against you

I'm pretty sure you don't see them using the lasers in Hl2.

I look forward to seeing and, possibly, fighting the Stalkers. I imagine the Stalkers will have no idea what is going on when the Citadel collapses so I presume when you are making your way down the Citadel (you do do that, right? I've been away for a week and since then that trailer was released showing DOG finding you in a pile of rubble so correct me if I'm wrong) alot of the Stalkers will either be a) trying to fix and repair as much as possible or b) attack anything that approaches them. I reckon all the loud noises would confuse them greatly and anger them. Like in that film/show... um, I dunno, I've forgot. But it was like an insane person going completly nuts when a loud noise occured.

/ramble.

(By the way, I haven't seen any threads about the movie as they've obviously moved on through the pages but that was a great teaser trailer. I really am looking forward to it now.)

The stalkers in the alpha were freaky sons of bitches to fight. Since then, their look and purpose has noticeably changed. But if Valve makes their combative style anything like it used to be... well, get ready for some chilling fights.

The Stalkers using a foot laser is in the game. All you need to do is go into Hammer and make a simple map and put a Stalker entity in it. When you're close enough to it it will look at you and begin to shoot a laser from below it at you. If you kill it, the game crashes.
