Lightsabers are better than the phasers.
Star Trek: Sci-Fi
Star Wars: Sci-Fi, Action, Drama, Fantasy & Romance.
It also demonstrates a strong of the old King Arthur legends.
 
Star trek has a completly differant feeling to it than starwars.....but i have to say starwars.

I'm not a big fan of space opera in general, but I find Star Wars more enjoyable (and I'm not talking about the new episodes)

Episode 1 had the most agressive lightsaber fights.
Episode 2 showed off the lightsaber styles which reflected how each character acts.
 
I prefer star trek for the one one single reason that they didn't entirely **** up their last two movies like starwars did. But if we're comparing startrek to the original three starwars movies than I would say starwars.

i voted star wars b/c it's the better sci-fi, generally. star trek has a "richer" universe in that there is much more information about it w/ so many episodes of several series. however, SW episodes 1&2 make the race a lot closer though.. because they suck so much.
 
it kinda depends for me, I voted star trek becuase for me all the episodes and movies were interesting. The First 3 starwars movies that came out were excellent, but wtf was "the phantom menace"? gimme a friggin break, even the target audience (kids for some stupid reason) are not that dumb.

Star Trek has a much more explined Universe and more realistic tech. All movies / series were great excepting the new Entertprise show (was it cancelled already? )

Star Wars has a much more diverse Universe and much more battles.It was only good in the original settings what shows George Lucas was lucky or got freaked by the new technologies.

To me - Star Trek. Me no Trekkie but I love the no all-out-war settings and great plots.
 
Star Wars, my dad's an old trekkie so it's kind of a no-go for me, and it's freakin boring.

Yeah they have much cooler battles with ships that fire big beams and dont just blow stuff up, but cut through them....THROUGH THEM!


EDIT: I like Enterprise, i think its pretty good. It's differerent to the others and i hope it stays that way. Although they changed the title from Enterprise to Star Trek Enterprise. For me, slapping the star trek lable on it, doesnt do anything good. Its just going to become like the others which were good but so much the same.

yeah, i think enterprise is (was?) better than voyager for sure. it started out just as good as ds9 did, imo. but ds9 improved a lot as it matured, and so did tng (voyager on the other hand..). let's hope ste improves as it matures too.

Star Wars. Because I've grown up with it , and I love all the different atmospheres in it. Everything from the dark smelly bar settings to the deep space empire bases. All the designs are really cool, and the robots too.

I didn't like EP1 , but EP2 isn't really that bad. I liked it actually, but Lucas gotta learn that a mayor part of the magic of the old trilogy was the atmospheric pauses and the incredible music. Every main character had their own music (Luke, Yoda, Obi Wan, Leia&Luke, Darth Vader&Luke etc etc), for instance it was really a magical moment when Luke was all sad and looked up at the twin suns and the music rose to such a grade that you could feel that something big was going to happen to him..
