Yeah, there probably is. But I'm really into Star Wars and I want to know pre movie story lines. I was told about KOTOR, but those are comics instead of novels

Anything by tim zahn, (outbound flight, thrawn novels), as well as the RotS trilogy (labyrinth of evil, RotS novel,rise of the dark lord)

I heard death star is good as well
