WarCraft 4 = World of WarCraft well, not really.. but, why make a WC4 when WC3 is flourishing?

As for SC2, I'm sure it's in the planning stages, no idea if they've started work on it.. all we have to go on is the secret "ending" in WC3

A guy at my local EB said Starcraft 2 was in the works, I nearly died because I said "YOU MEAN GHOST???" and he says "no an RTS sequel to the original"

I doubt a clerk would actually know about that if nobody else has heard of it.

I think I had heard somewhere that Blizzard has 3 development teams; one is working on WoW, one on SC:G, and one more being quiet and mysterious... but don't quote me on that.

StarCraft Ghost looks decent. I was more interested in it about a year ago but now I really don't care much for it anymore.

There have been rumors of an RTS sequel to the original SC since forever...but Blizzard really hasn't announced anything at all about it. When I saw this thread's title I thought there would be some recent news about it.

i mean the brothers have been im-prisoned again.. so really.. i guess if theres anymore Diablo sequels in the works, its just a cash-cow type of thing... and less about the game and storyline itself.

Thank Jimmy Christ! The Diablos were as boring as I'll get out. Pointing and clicking has limits at which it stops being fun.
Diablo 2 is that limit.

Starcraft 2, if there is one, will be awesome though.

On a related note, am I the only one who wouldn't mind if Starcraft 2 retained the 2D pixel art?
3D is good and all, but Starcrft's pixel drawings gave it a 'je ne sais quoi' character all its own.

Bahh, if Starcraft 2 goes 3D, it'll give people less incentive to play my mod.

But, I for one would actually like Starcraft in 3D. Just as long as they don't add levelling heroes into the game - that spoiled Warcraft for me. So much focus on hero characters, so little focus on the actual troops.

I never really liked starcraft that much. Warcraft II was more enjoyable for me. Never liked Warcraft 3. I think Blizzard games are a phase that you grow out of, and i've done just that, thankfully. No longer could I sit idly by while people were wielding armor that looked like it weighed a thousand pounds and swords and axes twice as big as themselves. Its the reason I don't like final fantasy. lol

I'd love a revamped Starcraft (2d) I'd only like a 3d version if they did the marine model right. I love storming enimies with 20 marines with a few medics. I'd hate to look at fields of ugly soldiers.

I think all 3d RTS can take a lesson from Ground Control II. while the game will have limited replay value, the graphics are absolutely gorgeous, able to zoom in and some of the soldier units have more detail than your average FPS action game today.

Everyone seems to forget one thing about the Diablo storyline.

They are brothers. They are dead/imrprisoned, certainly. but where is the father..?
Is he the Diablo Universe Creator of all things, or a Diablo Universe Satan ?

of course, if Blizzard said they won't make anymore on the Diablo universe, I guess we'll never know will we.....

Blizzard has said that the scene in the ending credits in WarCraft 3 was NOT StarCraft 2. They were just having fun with the new WC3 engine.

Besides, if the marines really did look all weird like that in SC2 then I would be really sad.

I would like to point out the fact that on their website, blizzard is currently looking for a level designer skilled in creating 3-D maps. This means that they are looking to create maps for a 3-D game. While it COULD mean they want more Warcraft III maps, I doubt they'd pay someone for that. That leaves either an entirely new game seperate from Diablo, Warcraft, and StarCraft, or it means they need maps for a 3-D StarCraft 2.
