StarCraft II just $5

Just like that time they had a big ass TV on for $50 bucks.

I sense big disappointment in the future.

We should still try to get amazon to price match this

If they don't honor it, print the receipt, go to a local Best Buy and ask for a copy there.

Worked for me in the past.

This is so awesome, love mistakes like this...great find.

Haha, they already took it down.

Price mistake, don't expect them to honor this at all.

Retailers don't have to honour that price. Common misconception, because customers are generally a set of ****s with a false sense of entitlement.

They can simply take it off sale and correct the mistake. (Which it looks like they have, I'm just getting a 404 from that link now.) Enjoy your $5 refunds.

And Best Buy certainly is not! I have had the best customer service and bargains at Best Buy than any other media store that I have been too!

They don't call it Best Buy for nothing, it really is the Best Buy!

I went to the Best Buy in ZT's city, it was the only one near me that had ArmA II in stock. They had the lowest price of any retailer, so I'm gonna have to agree!

Funnily enough I'm not making this up.

Yeah! Where do you ****s get off expecting to purchase products for the price they're listed as?

OMG I missed it!! I always miss the boat, but I'm willing to put some hard earned cash for this game anyway.

Hey, don't blame me for not jumping on it right away.

Whether they will honor the price or not, only time will tell.
Even if they don't, i am not losing a damn thing. So...

I worked at a Best Buy for a month (to buy an HDTV real cheap) and they honored pricing errors for online orders. I remember one of the times the website mis-priced a 4gb USB jump drive for $1-2 and they were honoring the purchases for the in-store pickup the next day for people that managed to order before they fixed it.

This might be a little trickier because it's not out yet and whatnot though.

Hahah I love how I always get flak saying something like that.

Sorry, I can't help it. I work in retail management so I'm the guy who always has to say "no" when things like this happen. Unfortunately, your average member of the public isn't quite so understanding and intelligent as you guys. As for Best Buy, yeah, the might well honour it. They are a pretty darn big company, so I'm sure they can take a small hit to their margin at the expense of good customer service.

My comment stands though, shopping really does bring out the worst in people. It always comes down to this bizarre sense of entitlement, as if they were forced to come into the store and spend their money, rather than, you know, doing so of their own free will.

I bet they meant to take $5.00 off the price, meaning it should have totaled $54.99

Nah, I'd say they meant to make it $50.00, and missed a zero.

That 'you save' thing is simply calculated based on msrp and the current price... They obviously wouldn't have entered by hand a 54.99 discount.

I don't see why honoring an obvious mistake like that would be needed to improve customer service reputation. I'm sure the majority of people that saw this deal and jumped on it never shop at BB anyway.

Actually, if they honored the price, I could see it easily upsetting more people than satisfying. (like me)

buy anyway, sucks for BB. They've done this before... they really need to improve whatever system they use to enter these sales. Or fire the guy that keeps ****ing up.

Oh, you're one of those people. One of those people who believe that others should not reap benefits, just because you missed an opportunity that they didn't.

People like you are sore loser ass bitches.

In Connecticut it is law that retailers must sell the product at the price listed. I know this for a fact. Or at least it was when I worked at Sears a couple years ago.

EDIT: Actually, I misremembered. The law I was recalling was that if a perishable item rang up at more than the advertised/labeled price, and was valued at under $20, you were entitled to getting it for free. If it was worth over $20, you got $20 off the price at the register. Obviously that doesn't pertain to this situation, but still, retailers have legal obligations to ensure their products are marked accurately.

Order was canceled and i got my money back along with an email apologizing for their **** up.

Oh, well. It was worth a shot.
