I wholeheartedly agree. We get about 30 reported posts a day, but there needs to be a lot more and people need to start doing it instead of making posts to counter-attack theirs. If you guys wanna see this place get better, stop making it worse

All jokes aside, you guys reporting would be a great help to us. If you really do want to make an "in before close" post, then do it by sending the message to us as a reported post. Let's make a new trend of sending us "Reported before close!" comments using the reported posts feature. ALL reported posts get seen to IMMEDIATELY so it's worth doing it.

Never assume that because it normally isn't the case. And even if all 10 of those people have reported it, it doesn't matter, do it anyway.

I'm surprised people don't do reports. I've been doing it since I joined. BTW is there a way we can tell how many reports we've sent? To promote it you should make a Top 10 Community Helper List.

So you don't mind being flooded by duplicate reports? I am a Moderator of another site, and I recall a few times when there were four or five reports of the same thread; it got got a little annoying at times, but as long as you guys don't mind, I will report any I see.

You're our best reporter and we know it. Just done a search on my reported posts folder. The records for it go back to June 26th (so exactly two months ago) and since then you've sent us 126 reported posts.

Saying that we've already had 33 today :E

It doesn't need to be anonymous. We'd treat it the same we would as a user PMing us. We use the information in the reported post for our use only. We won't ever announce that a certain person has reported another person etx.

I stopped reporting posts after a crew member at different forum saying that he deleted all reported posts without even looking at them.

I spent hours browsing on those forums and reporting when needed and that was his way of saying 'thank you'

But, Chris_D, if you can convince me that reported posts are being checked, I'll change my mind

I kinda got in trouble once for reporting. I got a bit pissed off because someone posted a spoiler and then people just kept repeating it. I reported every post with the spoiler in.

It wasn't really trouble just someone said "Was there any need?" and I felt bad.

I don't like to report every little violation, but I usually report large amounts of spam and any advertising, plus duplicate topics.
If I reported every spam post, I would hit the report button at intervals of 30 seconds.

i know the report button is there, and i've used it on other forums, but those versions don't have a textarea expecting you to say what's wrong with it. I'm a lazy goit, and if i report something, it'll generally be something that the mods would know whats wrong with it anyway, i don't want to write up reports about it :/

You don't have to, a simple line is enough, I think. For example: 'repost of HL2 Domino' is enough.
